Jan (my father in law) and Stan (my Uncle in law) came over for the past two days to show me some samples of what it takes to be a builder. First day and a half we spent wrapping the house up in insulation, nailing in special nails into the studs to hold the paper in place - at times balancing precariously at the top of the roof on top of a ladder - but we managed to do it with our limbs remaining firmly in place. I have even learnt how to hammer with my left hand..
Here's Jan cutting up the insulation paper for the next section.
Here's Mitch and Molly inspecting the work - and Uncle Stan's in the background.
Here I am with my Kharki cowboy hat - trying to nail in.
Finally today after getting the middle section of insulation done on the bedroom side, I got to nail in my first board onto the house - here's the proof:
Here's a shot of the workers
Jan and Stan are coming back again tomorrow to do some more boards - I'm out at Doveton so will see what I can do when I get home. More pics to come - rock on.
